My research focuses on the study of the complex relationships that emerge between society and nature over time. Starting from current debates around the notions of sustainability and sustainable development, my most recent research focuses on the construction and evaluation of environmental and sustainability indicators and indices whose fields of application include environmental and habitat management, territorial planning and environmental evaluation.
