He is the author of Subtitling through Speech Recognition: Respeaking (Routledge) and Accessible Filmmaking (Routledge). He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Audiovisual Translation and is the leader of the international research centre GALMA (Galician Observatory for Media Access), for which he is currently coordinating several international projects on media accessibility, including ILSA: Interlingual Live Subtitling for Access, funded by the EU Commission. Pablo is also a filmmaker. Since 2008, he has been with the Department of Computer Science, University of Valencia, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He has been a Visiting Researcher with multiple European research centers. He has co-authored over 90 publications, national and international journals, book chapters, and conferences. He was on the Organizing Committee and TPC of several national and international conferences, including the International Workshop on Virtual Acoustics (2011), in Salento AVR, and Tecniacustica 2015. He is Assistant Professor in the Communications Department. He has extensive experience in research and teaching in communication networks, multimedia systems and protocols, and media synchronization. His main research areas are immersive and interactive media systems and applications, mulsemedia and media synchronization. She obtained her BA and MA at Universitat Jaume I (Castell\u00f3n, Spain). At the same university, she defended her PhD about captioning for d\/Deaf and Hard of Hearing children in 2015. She has completed two international research stays, at the University of Roehampton (London, UK) and at the Universidad C\u00e9sar Vallejo (Lima, Per\u00fa). Currently, she is a member of the research groups TRALIMA\/ITZULIK (UPV\/EHU) and collaborates with other groups. Her research interests focus on audiovisual translation and accessibility in different modalities. BA in Translation (UAB) and PhD in Applied Linguistics (UPF), Anna Matamala has led many projects on audiovisual translation and media accessibility. She has also taken an active role in standardization committees.
