Moltes gr\u00e0cies pel teu inter\u00e8s en TANC | The Apocalypse is Not Coming. Tenim moltes ganes de donar-te la benvinguda la setmana vinent a la Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona. A mesura que s\u2019apropa la confer\u00e8ncia, ens agradaria compartir algunes informacions pr\u00e0ctiques i recordatoris per ajudar que tot funcioni de la manera m\u00e9s fluida possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REGISTRE I ACREDITACI\u00d3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El registre i la recollida d\u2019acreditacions tindran lloc als matins de 9.00 h a 9.30 h a la Sala de Revistes (Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres, UAB)<\/strong>. Un cop registrat\/da, rebr\u00e0s la teva acreditaci\u00f3 de la confer\u00e8ncia. \u00c9s obligatori portar l\u2019acreditaci\u00f3 per poder accedir a qualsevol activitat de la confer\u00e8ncia. Aix\u00f2 ajuda l\u2019equip a fer seguiment de l\u2019assist\u00e8ncia, que \u00e9s un requisit obligatori de les entitats finan\u00e7adores de la confer\u00e8ncia. Com que tot l\u2019equip de TANC tamb\u00e9 vol assistir i gaudir de les diferents activitats de la confer\u00e8ncia, si necessites recollir la teva acreditaci\u00f3 fora de l\u2019horari establert, si us plau busca alg\u00fa de l\u2019equip TANC, ja sigui a l\u2019inici o al final de les activitats a la sala corresponent. No ser\u00e0 dif\u00edcil trobar-nos si preguntes una mica. Pots trobar tota la informaci\u00f3 sobre les sales al programa. Si no pots registrar-te dins la franja hor\u00e0ria indicada, et demanem paci\u00e8ncia, ja que potser trigarem una mica a gestionar la teva acreditaci\u00f3 fora d\u2019aquest horari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACREDITACIONS DE LA CONFER\u00c8NCIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les acreditacions s\u2019han creat especialment per a TANC amb la voluntat de deixar un llegat a la UAB. Han estat elaborades, despr\u00e9s de moltes hores de feina de les nostres estimades companyes Laia i Almodis, amb pl\u00e0stic reciclat i dissenyades espec\u00edficament per ser reutilitzades en altres confer\u00e8ncies de la UAB, en co-disseny amb el meravell\u00f3s equip de Circulab de la UAB. Les acreditacions passaran a formar part de la Biblioteca de les Coses, un servei de pr\u00e9stec de materials ofert per Circulab a la comunitat UAB. Esperem que totes les persones participants tinguin cura de la seva acreditaci\u00f3 i es responsabilitzin de retornar-la. Si no retornes la teva acreditaci\u00f3, et demanarem amablement que ho facis per correu postal.<\/strong> Entenem que aix\u00f2 pot ser una mica menys c\u00f2mode que les acreditacions d\u2019un sol \u00fas, per\u00f2 confiem que la comunitat TANC sabr\u00e0 assumir aquesta tasca amb cura i responsabilitat. Si no tens clar si tornar\u00e0s a la confer\u00e8ncia l\u2019endem\u00e0, pots retornar l\u2019acreditaci\u00f3 i tornar-la a recollir el dia seg\u00fcent si finalment decideixes venir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ESPAIS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trobar\u00e0s tota la informaci\u00f3 sobre com arribar als espais i sobre les diferents sales al web de TANC. <\/a>Tamb\u00e9 tens tota la informaci\u00f3 sobre on t\u00e9 lloc cada activitat al programa.<\/a> Arribar des de l\u2019estaci\u00f3 de tren fins a la Facultat triga aproximadament 10 minuts (o m\u00e9s si et perds). Si us plau, tingues-ho en compte en la planificaci\u00f3 del teu temps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACC\u00c9S ALS TALLERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tots els tallers tenen un nombre m\u00e0xim de participants. Si t\u2019has inscrit a un taller (ho pots comprovar al correu de confirmaci\u00f3 rebut en registrar-te), rebr\u00e0s un correu confirmant si has obtingut pla\u00e7a segons l\u2019ordre d\u2019inscripci\u00f3 o si has quedat en llista d\u2019espera. Rebr\u00e0s un correu per a cada taller al qual t\u2019hagis inscrit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les persones amb pla\u00e7a confirmada han d\u2019arribar a la sala 5 minuts abans de l\u2019inici del taller. <\/strong>Membres de l\u2019equip TANC seran a l\u2019entrada amb la llista de participants confirmats i comprovaran els noms abans de permetre l\u2019acc\u00e9s. Les persones en llista d\u2019espera, aix\u00ed com qualsevol altra persona interessada, tamb\u00e9 poden apropar-se a la porta del taller 5 minuts abans que comenci l\u2019activitat. <\/strong>Un cop hagin entrat les persones confirmades, les places restants s\u2019oferiran per ordre d\u2019arribada, fins al nombre de persones que les facilitadores considerin que poden acollir. Esperem que aquest sistema faci el proc\u00e9s d\u2019entrada el m\u00e9s fluid possible mantenint la participaci\u00f3 tan oberta com sigui possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACTIVITATS SAT\u00c8L\u00b7LIT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si t\u2019has inscrit als tallers sat\u00e8l\u00b7lit, tingues en compte que a Circulab, on tindr\u00e0 lloc el taller, hi ha aigua potable de l\u2019aixeta. Si no et sents c\u00f2mode bevent aigua de l\u2019aixeta, tot i que \u00e9s perfectament potable, et recomanem portar la teva pr\u00f2pia aigua, ja que la cafeteria m\u00e9s propera \u00e9s a uns 10\u201315 minuts caminant. Oferirem caf\u00e8, te i galetes entre la soundwalk i T.R.A.S.H. per facilitar la transici\u00f3 d\u2019una activitat a l\u2019altra i evitar haver de sortir de Circulab. En qualsevol cas, ets molt benvingut\/da a portar els teus propis snacks. Si us plau, porta roba c\u00f2moda. No cal acreditaci\u00f3 per a aquesta activitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MENJAR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u2019oferiran pauses amb caf\u00e8 als matins i a les tardes, per\u00f2 no estan pensades per mantenir-te completament alimentat\/da durant tot el dia. Et recomanem portar el teu propi dinar o comprar-ne en alguna de les cafeteries del campus. Pots trobar tota la informaci\u00f3 rellevant al web de TANC, a la pestanya Venue<\/a>. Les cafeteries i restaurants del campus poden estar for\u00e7a plens durant les hores de dinar, aix\u00ed que et recomanem tenir-ho en compte en l\u2019organitzaci\u00f3 dels teus horaris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MATERIALS I PREPARACI\u00d3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si us plau, consulta els resums dels tallers<\/a> als quals t\u2019has inscrit, ja que alguns poden requerir materials o preparaci\u00f3 espec\u00edfica. En general, recomanem portar m\u00f2bil, llibretes o qualsevol material que puguis necessitar per als tallers o sessions col\u00b7laboratives, aix\u00ed com els teus propis auriculars sempre que sigui possible. Tingues en compte que l\u2019acc\u00e9s a endolls i punts de c\u00e0rrega pot ser limitat en alguns espais. Tamb\u00e9 recomanem portar roba i cal\u00e7at c\u00f2modes durant tota la confer\u00e8ncia, especialment si tens previst participar en tallers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESOURCEZINE I INTERCANVIS ENTRE PARTICIPANTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animem les persones participants a contribuir amb materials al TANC ResourceZine. <\/a>Tamb\u00e9 hi haur\u00e0 una taula a la Sala de Revistes on es podran deixar materials impresos, fullets o altres recursos relacionats amb les tem\u00e0tiques de la confer\u00e8ncia perqu\u00e8 altres participants els puguin consultar i endur-se lliurement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NORMES DE CONVIV\u00c8NCIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crear un espai segur, inclusiu i constructiu dep\u00e8n de totes nosaltres. Demanem amablement a tothom que sigui amable i respectu\u00f3s, que arribi puntual a les activitats i que tingui paci\u00e8ncia amb l\u2019equip TANC. Estem fent el millor que podem, per\u00f2 aquest format \u00e9s nou per a totes nosaltres i estem gestionant la log\u00edstica i els reptes en un proc\u00e9s d\u2019aprendre fent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FORMULARIS D\u2019AVALUACI\u00d3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La confer\u00e8ncia TANC \u00e9s gratu\u00efta i oberta a les persones participants gr\u00e0cies al finan\u00e7ament de les diferents entitats que s\u2019han unit per fer-la possible. Les nostres entitats finan\u00e7adores (totes elles institucions p\u00fabliques i col\u00b7lectius art\u00edstics) ens demanen presentar informes d\u2019avaluaci\u00f3, aix\u00ed que et demanem el teu suport en aquest proc\u00e9s. Al final de la confer\u00e8ncia compartirem un codi QR amb un formulari d\u2019avaluaci\u00f3 de 5 minuts, que tamb\u00e9 enviarem per correu electr\u00f2nic la setmana seg\u00fcent a la confer\u00e8ncia per a aquelles persones que no puguin assistir a l\u2019activitat final. La teva opini\u00f3 \u00e9s extremadament valuosa per a nosaltres i per a les entitats finan\u00e7adores, i ens ajuda a documentar, millorar i continuar desenvolupant aquest tipus d\u2019iniciatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00daMERO ESPECIAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Totes les persones contribuents a la confer\u00e8ncia seran convidades a presentar articles de recerca o peces creatives per a un n\u00famero especial d\u2019acc\u00e9s obert amb revisi\u00f3 doble cega a Resistance: A Journal of Radical Environmental Humanities<\/a>. M\u00e9s informaci\u00f3 estar\u00e0 disponible poc despr\u00e9s de la confer\u00e8ncia a la pestanya Special Issue del web de TANC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you very much for your interest in TANC | The Apocalypse is Not Coming. If you are receiving this email, it is because you have registered for the conference. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you next week at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the conference approaches, we would like to share some practical information and reminders to help everything run as smoothly as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conference registration and accreditation pick-up will take place in the mornings from 9:00 to 9:30 at the Sala de Revistes (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, UAB).<\/strong> Once registered, you will receive your conference credential. It is mandatory to have your credential with you to enter any of the conference activities. This helps the team keep track of attendance, which is a mandatory requirement of conference funding bodies. As the entire TANC team also wishes to attend and enjoy the different conference activities, if you need to collect your accreditation outside the set schedule, please find someone from the TANC team either at the beginning or at the end of the activities in the corresponding room. We will not be hard to find if you ask around. You can find all room information in the programme. If you are not able to register within the given timeframe, please be patient, as it may take us a little while to arrange your accreditation outside this schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONFERENCE CREDENTIALS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The credentials have been specially made for TANC to leave a legacy at UAB. They have been created, after many hours of work by our esteemed colleagues Laia and Almodis, out of recycled plastic and specifically designed to be reused for other conferences taking place at UAB, in co-design with the wonderful UAB staff at Circulab<\/a>. The credentials will become part of the Library of Things, a material lending service offered by Circulab to the UAB community. We expect all participants to take good care of their credentials and to take responsibility for returning them. If you do not return your credential, we will kindly ask you to do so by mail. <\/strong>We understand this may be a little more inconvenient than single-use credentials, but we are confident that the TANC community will be able to handle this task with care and responsibility. If you are unsure whether you will return to the conference the following day, please feel free to return your credential and collect it again the next day if you decide to join us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VENUE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have all information regarding how to get to the venue and all rooms on the TANC website<\/a>. You have all the information regarding where each activity takes place in the programme.<\/a> <\/a> Arriving to the Faculty from the train station takes about 10 minutes (or more if you get lost). Please take this into account in your time planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACCESS TO WORKSHOPS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All workshops have a maximum number of participants. If you signed up for a workshop (you can check in the confirmation email received upon registration), you will receive an email confirming whether you secured a place based on registration order or whether you have been placed on the waiting list. You will receive an email for each workshop you signed up for.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants who have secured a place should arrive at the room 5 minutes before the workshop begins.<\/strong> TANC team members will be at the entrance with the list of confirmed participants and will check names before allowing entry. Participants on the waiting list, as well as any other interested participants, are also welcome to come to the workshop door 5 minutes before the activity begins. Once confirmed participants have entered, any remaining places will be offered in order of arrival<\/u>, <\/strong>up to the number of people that facilitators feel they can accommodate. We hope this set-up will make the entrance process as smooth as possible while keeping participation as open as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SATELLITE ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you signed up for the satellite workshops, please note that Circulab, where the workshop takes place, has drinking water from the tap. If you are not comfortable drinking tap water, although the water is safe to drink, please bring your own, as the closest cafeteria is about a 10\u201315 minute walk away. We will offer some coffee, tea and biscuits between the soundwalk and T.R.A.S.H. to make the transition from one activity to the next easier, so that we do not have to leave Circulab. However, you are very welcome to bring your own snacks. Please bring comfortable clothes. No accreditation is needed for this activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coffee breaks will be offered in the mornings and afternoons, but they are not intended to replace meals or keep you fully fed throughout the day. Please plan to either bring your own lunch or buy lunch at one of the campus cafeterias. You can find all relevant information on the TANC website, under the Venue tab.<\/a> Campus cafeterias and restaurants can become quite busy during lunch hours, so we encourage participants to take this into account when organising their schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MATERIALS AND PREPARATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please check the abstracts of the workshops<\/a> you have signed up for, as some may require specific materials or preparation. In general, we recommend bringing any mobiles, notebooks or materials you may need for workshops or collaborative sessions, as well as your own headphones whenever possible. Please note that access to plugs and charging points may be limited in some spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also strongly encourage you to wear comfortable clothing and shoes throughout the conference, specially if you are planning to participate in the workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESOURCEZINE AND PARTICIPANT EXCHANGES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants are encouraged to contribute materials to the TANC ResourceZine<\/a>. There will also be a table in the Sala de Revistes where participants may leave printed materials, flyers or other resources related to the conference themes for others to explore and take freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOUSE RULES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a safe, inclusive and constructive space depends on all of us. We kindly ask everyone to be kind and respectful, to arrive on time to the activities, and to be patient with the TANC team. We are doing the best we can, but this format is new to all of us, and we are navigating logistics and challenges in a learning-by-doing mode. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EVALUATION FORMS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TANC conference is free and open to participants because it has been funded by the different partners who have come together to make it happen. Our funders (all public bodies and arts collectives) require us to provide evaluation reports, so we kindly ask for your support with this process. At the end of the conference, we will share a QR code for a 5-minute evaluation form, which we will also send by email the week after the conference for those who are not able to attend the final activity. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and to our funders, and helps us document, improve and continue developing this type of initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPECIAL ISSUE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All conference contributors will be invited to submit research articles or creative pieces for a double blind-peer review open-access special issue at Resistance: A Journal of Radical Environmental Humanities<\/a>.
