These maps divide the space into different categories that represent the surface structure (e.g., height and density of buildings and vegetation) and the permeability\/impermeability of the soil. The cartography has been done by training areas prepared within the project of Laurence Sigler, co-directed by Joan Gilabert and Gara Villalba, entitled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/cli10070109\">Exploring Methods for Developing Local Climate Zones to Support Climate Research<\/a>&#8220;. This new tool based on the application of a machine learning method with Google Earth Engine is published in the article: Demuzere, M., Kittner, J., Bechtel, B.
