From 3 to 8 May 2026, European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2026 (https:\/\/www.egu26.eu\/<\/a>) was held in Vienna, Austria. This year\u2019s event gathered 22,497 registered participants, with 20,027 attending in person from 125 countries, making it one of the largest geoscience conferences in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three posters were presented during the week-long event by Vanessa Monteiro<\/a> and Qing Luo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presentation by Vanessa Monteiro et al. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vanessa Monteiro presented two posters, on Barcelona\u2019s urban greenhouse gas monitoring network<\/a> (abstract<\/a>; poster<\/a>) and on educational resources for the urban carbon cycle in New Zealand<\/a> (abstract<\/a>; poster<\/a>), and chaired a session on Earth science education<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presentation by Qing Luo et al.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qing Luo presented her work (Quantifying Urban Biogenic CO2 <\/sub>Fluxes in Greenhouse Gas Budgets: A Scalable Framework and Case Study<\/a>; poster<\/a>) online in the session \u201cAtmospheric Composition, Chemistry and Aerosols<\/a>\u201d, where she explained how CO\u2082 fluxes from urban green infrastructure can be estimated using a high-resolution approach to support urban planning and climate mitigation strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
