The ATRAPA project has entered a new phase with a consolidated research team working across its different work packages on policy acceptability, opposition, backlash, spatial analysis, surveys, electoral outcomes, and the social impacts of urban transformation.
The current ATRAPA research team brings together senior, postdoctoral and predoctoral researchers from GEMOTT and UAB. The postdoctoral team includes Glòria Serra Coch, Eugeni Vidal, Filippo Tassinari, Monika Maciejewska and Oriol Roig. The predoctoral team includes Marta-Beatriz Fernández Nuñez, Pablo Villar-Abeijón and Iker Echarte Sunsundegui.
Together, the team is developing complementary approaches to understand the Active Travel Backlash Paradox: from spatial analysis of built-environment interventions and electoral outcomes, to surveys, social media analysis, qualitative approaches, and research on justice, gentrification, affordability and public acceptability.
This updated team structure reflects the expansion of ATRAPA’s empirical and methodological agenda and the growing role of the project as a hub for research on sustainable mobility transitions and their public reception, consolidating its position within an expanding international research landscape.
