ATRAPA researchers presented recent project findings at several international conferences in 2025, strengthening the project’s visibility in debates on sustainable mobility, housing, public acceptability, justice and electoral responses to urban transformation.
Marta Fernández Núñez presented part of her PhD research at the Transportation Research Symposium 2025 (25-28 May) in Rotterdam. Using a Mobility Justice lens, she examined how distributive, procedural, deliberative, epistemic and restorative justice are addressed in the policy design and implementation of Barcelona’s Protegim les Escoles (School Streets) programme. At the ENHR Grand Paris 2025 Residential Environments and People Workshop (30 June -4 July 2025), Pablo Villar-Abeijón presented his research connected to his doctoral work on pedestrianization, housing and urban change. Further details about the conference can be found here.
Shortly afterwards, at the AESOP 2025 Conference (7-11 July 2025) in Istanbul, ATRAPA-related work was presented in the Mobility track.
