“The Cultural Agency and Limits of Minority Groups in Early Modern Iberia: A Comparative Approach”
đź“… 25-26 June 2025
đź“Ť Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

Organized by the projects Making of Blackness in Early Modern Spain and BADEMS, this two-day event will bring together scholars researching minority groups who resided in early modern Iberia and its colonial territories. • Case studies of individual artists, musicians, and writers.
  • Cultural productions and performativities in diasporic communities.
  • Ephemeral cultural expressions such as festivities and oral traditions.
  • Methodological challenges in archival research.
