La Dra. Maria Czepiel és investigadora Leverhulme Early Career Fellow al Centre for the Study of the Renaissance de Warwick. S’interessa per l’humanisme, la literatura i la cultura festiva del Segle d’Or espanyol, i ha publicat extensament sobre la poesia espanyola i neollatina del segle XVI. El seu pròxim llibre ( Humanism and the Bible in the Poetry of Benito Arias Montano, Bloomsbury, 2026) estudia la complexa relació entre religió i aprenentatge humanista en la poesia de l’humanista Benito Arias Montano.
