As part of the BADEMS project, she is currently interested in the study of Black communities and their cultural activities in Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>She graduated with a PhD in History from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2023. She then carried out interdisciplinary research at the University of Burgos, providing historical perspectives to the literary-based project\u00a0<em>\u00c1mbitos literarios de sociabilidad en el siglo de oro: El teatro escrito en colaboraci\u00f3n en su contexto, nuevos instrumentos de investigaci\u00f3n<\/em>. She is also a member of the project\u00a0<em>NOBINCIS: Nuevas noblezas de la Monarqu\u00eda Hisp\u00e1nica<\/em>, the research group\u00a0<em>HERMESP \u00c9lites y agentes en la Monarqu\u00eda Hisp\u00e1nica<\/em>\u00a0and the node \u201cNOBINCIS\u201d of\u00a0<em>Red Columnaria<\/em>. Her research has been devoted to early modern businessmen and women, Atlantic trade, network analysis, and social promotion strategies in the Hispanic Monarchy. She has conducted research stays in Spanish and Portuguese institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>She has published several articles and book chapters, such as \u201cTrade, Credit, and Marriage: The Mobility of Portuguese Conversa Merchants and Financiers\u201d in\u00a0<em>Early Modern Women\u2019s Mobility, Authority, and Agency Across the Spanish Empire<\/em>, (coordinated by Anne J. Cruz and Alejandra Franganillo \u00c1lvarez, Amsterdam University Press 2024). Her book-length monograph\u00a0<em>Capital y poder en la Monarqu\u00eda Hisp\u00e1nica (1580-1660).
