En este grupo podemos encontrar a los tan conocidos escarabajos y mariquitas. Presentan una gran diversidad morfol\u00f3gica, alimenticia y de h\u00e1bitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-alegreya-font-family has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">En la cabeza podemos encontrar una c\u00e1psula cef\u00e1lica, la cual presenta ojos compuestos, un par de antenas (formadas por 3 segmentos) y un aparato bucal generalmente de tipo masticador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-alegreya-font-family has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">El t\u00f3rax est\u00e1 formado por un prot\u00f3rax bien desarrollado y un pterot\u00f3rax (fusi\u00f3n de mesot\u00f3rax y metat\u00f3rax). En esta regi\u00f3n podemos encontrar un par de alas, donde las primeras son \u00e9litros sin venaci\u00f3n que cubren el segundo par (membranoso y plegado en reposo) y el abdomen. Tambi\u00e9n presentan tres pares de patas, que se insertan en la regi\u00f3n ventral de las cavidades coxales, ocult\u00e1ndolas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-alegreya-font-family has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">El abdomen suele estar formado por diez segmentos en el macho y nueve en la hembra, los cuales est\u00e1n ocultos bajo las alas anteriores. Adem\u00e1s, la genitalia se encuentra situada en el noveno segmento masculino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-alegreya-font-family has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">En cuanto a la reproducci\u00f3n, suele ser sexual, donde el macho atrae a las hembras mediante la secreci\u00f3n de feromonas o la emisi\u00f3n de sonidos. Despu\u00e9s de la c\u00f3pula se produce la puesta de huevos, que, seg\u00fan la especie, puede consistir en un solo huevo grande o en cientos de ellos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-alegreya-font-family has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Las larvas pueden recibir cuidado maternal o paternal y, cuando llega el momento, pasan a la fase de pupa, envolvi\u00e9ndose en sedas para evitar infecciones f\u00fangicas.
