Brief summary of research interests:
My current research focuses on literary criticism and war literature, specifically examining representations of both World Wars in Virginia Woolf’s late fiction. I am in the process of writing my PhD dissertation, titled “Reassessing War Representation in Virginia Woolf’s Late Fiction” which explores Woolf as a significant female writer on the home front.
In addition to my primary research, I have interests in war writing, anxiety studies, silence, trauma, postmemory, and cultural memory in contemporary English and Irish literature, with a particular focus on the works of authors like Pat Barker and Tom Phelan. I also analyze parallels in the portrayal of war in both cinema and literature from the interwar period to the present.
