After a postdoctoral stay at the Universit\u00e9 des Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc (USTL) in Montpellier with Prof. R. J. P. Corriu and E. Colomer, she returned to UAB where she became Associate Professor in 1991 and Full Professor of Organic Chemistry in 2004. She has been\u00a0assistant\u00a0coordinator\u00a0of the degree in\u00a0Chemistry,\u00a0Vice-Dean\u00a0of the Faculty\u00a0of Sciences\u00a0and coordinator\u00a0of the PhD program\u00a0in\u00a0Materials Science.\u00a0Her current research interests focus on metal nanoparticles and organosilica-based (nano)materials for catalysis and biomedical applications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof.\u00a0Roser Pleixats received her PhD from the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1984, under the supervision of Prof. Marcial Moreno Ma\u00f1as.
