{"id":4575,"date":"2026-03-20T15:34:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T13:34:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/ceo\/education\/phd-support-program\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T11:03:20","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T09:03:20","slug":"phd-support-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/ceo\/en\/education\/phd-support-program\/","title":{"rendered":"PhD Support Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The CEO-UAB offers a support programme for PhD students who have begun postgraduate studies at the UAB in the field of Olympic and sports studies, particularly in the CEO-UAB\u2019s priority research areas. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Through this programme, the <a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/ceo\/sobre-nosotros\/\" id=\"4134\">CEO-UAB<\/a>, as a university research centre specialising in Olympic and sports studies, aims to strengthen and enhance collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uab.cat\/\">UAB<\/a> departments related to Olympism and sport, in order to support postgraduate studies.<\/p>\n\n<p>The programme is open to all PhD students who have officially registered their research work in a UAB department.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What do we offer?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>We offer special conditions for the use of library services, including a temporary workspace, priority access to lending services, and guidance on how to access academic resources.<\/p>\n\n<p>We facilitate PhD students\u2019 participation in academic events and workshops organised by the centre or by partner institutions.<\/p>\n\n<p>We provide doctoral students with tools to enable them to connect with international experts in Olympic studies.<\/p>\n\n<p>We assist doctoral students in obtaining funding for their studies, as well as in accessing scholarships and specialised training courses (such as, for example, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympics.com\/ioc\">International Olympic Committee<\/a> scholarship programme and the Postgraduate Session in Olympic Studies of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ioa.org.gr\/\" id=\"https:\/\/www.ioa.org.gr\/\">International Olympic Academy<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What do we ask in return?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>PhD students will be considered members of the CEO-UAB research team in their capacity as doctoral students, without implying any type of contractual relationship.<\/p>\n\n<p>Students must acknowledge their participation in the programme in all publications and conference presentations arising from their research results.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Submit your application<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>If you wish to submit an application, the process is very straightforward: <a href=\"mailto:ceoie@uab.cat\">please send us an application<\/a> and attach a letter of acceptance from your thesis supervisor.
