From 2014 to 2016 he held a Marie Curie Fellowship and was a Visiting Scholar at the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service (USA) and the KU Leuven Planning and Development Unit (Belgium). He has been postdoctoral visiting fellow at the University of Manchester (2007-2009) and the University of Sussex (2003).
