Sodupe i el doctor L. Rodr\u00edguez-Santiago. Durant el per\u00edode de doctorat va fer diferents visites a laboratoris estrangers. Va desenvolupar un treball postdoctoral en el grup del professor Piero Ugliengo (Univ. Tor\u00ed, 2007-2009), i el 2010 va tornar a la UAB obtenint diversos ajuts i contractes a trav\u00e9s de convocat\u00f2ries internacionals competitives. Actualment \u00e9s investigador Ram\u00f3n y Cajal a la UAB. Ha estat invitat professor a Univ. Cergy-Pontoise (Prof F Dulieu Group, 1 mes al 2016) i a Univ. Grenoble Alpes (Prof. C. Ceccarelli group, 3 mesos al 2017).<br>El focus d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 del Dr. A. Rimola sempre ha estat modelant processos qu\u00edmics mitjan\u00e7ant c\u00e0lculs qu\u00e0ntics precisos utilitzant tant aproximacions moleculars com peri\u00f2diques ab initio. El seu doctorat es va dedicar a la qu\u00edmica de la fase de gas d&#8217;ions met\u00e0l\u00b7lics \/ biomol\u00e8cules, en la qual els c\u00e0lculs de la qu\u00edmica qu\u00e0ntica eren essencials per interpretar el resultat complex dels experiments d&#8217;espectrometria de masses. Durant aquest per\u00edode, va adquirir un bon coneixement de diferents m\u00e8todes de mec\u00e0nica qu\u00e0ntica per al tractament de sistemes de open-shell i va adquirir experi\u00e8ncia en la simulaci\u00f3 de la reactivitat qu\u00edmica. A. Rimola va estudiar l&#8217;estructura electr\u00f2nica de diferents sistemes d&#8217;estat s\u00f2lid est\u00e8s i de les seves propietats de reactivitat adsortiva i qu\u00edmica, obtenint experi\u00e8ncia profunda en el modelatge de superf\u00edcies de diferent naturalesa; per exemple, i\u00f2nic\/covalent, cristal\u00b7l\u00ed\/amorf, defectiu, etc. L&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia del Dr. Rimola es basa en la simulaci\u00f3 de la reactivitat qu\u00edmica i el modelatge de superf\u00edcies complexes i la seva activitat de recerca actual fusiona i explota aquestes dues habilitats, que s\u00f3n de gran inter\u00e8s en diversos camps com la cat\u00e0lisi heterog\u00e8nia i nano-cat\u00e0lisi, ci\u00e8ncia de superf\u00edcie o biomaterials. Les seves l\u00ednies d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 actuals se centren en el modelatge de processos relacionats amb l&#8217;evoluci\u00f3 qu\u00edmica primordial (\u00e9s a dir, l&#8217;astroqu\u00edmica i la qu\u00edmica prebi\u00f2tica), en qu\u00e8 la mat\u00e8ria d&#8217;estat s\u00f2lid t\u00e9 un paper important. A. Rimola \u00e9s el PI d&#8217;un ERC 2019 Consolidator Grant (Quantum Chemistry on Interstellar Grains, QUANTUMGRAIN, grant agreement number 865657), l&#8217;UAB PI d&#8217;un 2018 Marie-Curie ITN project (AstroChemical Origins, ACO, grant agreement number 811312), i co-PI d&#8217;un projecte de recerca de pla nacional (CTQ2017-89132-P). T\u00e9 acc\u00e9s regularment als recursos supercomputacionals proporcionats per la RES.<br>T\u00e9 diverses col\u00b7laboracions internacionals amb qu\u00edmics qu\u00e0ntics (Prof. P. Ugliengo, Univ. Tor\u00ed; Prof. J. K.stner, Univ. Stuttgart), experimentalistes (Prof. F. Dulieu, Univ. Cergy-Pontoise, Dr. P. Theul\u00e9, Univ. Professor de Marsella G. Martra, Univ. Tor\u00ed) i astr\u00f2noms (Prof. C. Ceccarelli, Univ. Grenoble Alpes; Prof. P. Caselli, MPE-MPI; Dr. J.M. Trigo-Rodr\u00edguez, ICE-CSIC).<br>Des de 2004, A. Rimola ha estat coautor de 83 articles internacionals revisats per experts, 5 revisions i 6 cap\u00edtols de llibres, i ha donat 25 xerrades convidades en congressos internacionals i escoles avan\u00e7ades. Tamb\u00e9 est\u00e0 involucrat en activitats de divulgaci\u00f3 de la ci\u00e8ncia donant confer\u00e8ncies de ci\u00e8ncia popular i coautoritzant articles de ci\u00e8ncia popular.<br>A.
