Objectives:
ComSET was created in 2019 as a result of the work synergies between the Research Group on Radio Advertising and Communication (Publiradio), the Research Group on Corporate and Institutional Communication Management (DCEI) and the Journalism and Communication Laboratory for Citizens, all from the UAB. ComSET, the result of the union between the three aforementioned groups, studies the communication of organizations, especially the sound strategies and tools they use to reach more communicatively active audiences with technologically changing consumption habits, also paying special attention to the value of creativity as a strategic element. Organizations seek to expand points of contact with value-based and intangible content and with new narratives and digital formats.
Among its main assets, ComSET has the Audiobranding Observatory, which analyses sound strategies in brand communication, and the Infoparticipa Seal, which rewards transparency and quality of information from public administrations.
Main lines of research:
The basic lines of research that the group is working on are the following:
– Configuration and dynamics of the digital sound-sphere.
– Sound communication of organizations.
– Sound advertising formats and new creative and communicative resources.
– Strategies in the field of corporate communication.
– Communication effectiveness and transparency of public institutions (town councils, regional councils and provincial councils).
