Fossil fuels are the most used energy source in transportation. There are two main characteristics that make them ideal for this activity: a very large energy density and a high power of combustion. On the other side, their carbon dioxide emissions are very large. If we want to change fosil fuels by other fuels we must understand which are the characteristics that the new fuels require. In this video we will introduce the physical magnitudes to quantitatively characterize a fuel.
