{"id":108,"date":"2026-06-08T15:18:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T13:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/fado-me\/?page_id=108"},"modified":"2026-06-16T11:34:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T09:34:39","slug":"objetivos","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/fado-me\/objetivos\/","title":{"rendered":"objectives"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>FADO-ME investigates the internationalisation of fado \u2013 Portugal\u2019s emblematic song \u2013 in the wider Iberian cultural economy and the global music industry over the past decade, with the aim of critically assessing the <strong>sustainability<\/strong> of its traditional features\u2014both as codified by UNESCO\u2019s 2011 inscription and as historically consolidated through evolving performance practices and cultural transmission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The <strong>overall objective<\/strong> of the project is to analyse how fado is shaped by cultural policy, globalisation, tourism, and identity discourses in Iberia, in order to better understand the dynamics between heritage preservation and commercialisation.
