She holds a PhD in Translation Studies (2010) from the Universidade de Vigo. Before joining the UAB, she developed her career entirely in the UK,<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>where she held positions as Teaching Fellow (University of Exeter, 2010-2011), Lecturer (Aston University-Birmingham, 2011-2019), and Associate Professor, later promoted to Reader (University of Warwick, 2019-2023). She has completed research stays at Sheffield Hallam University (2017), Universitat de Vic (2018), Universit\u00e4t Graz (2012) and Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Ferrara (2025). Since 2021, she has been accredited by ANECA as &#8220;profesora titular de universidad.&#8221; She is founding co-editor-in-chief of the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/journals\/rftr20\"><em>Feminist Translation Studies<\/em><\/a> (Taylor &amp; Francis). She has acted as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI of four UK-funded research projects (including the <a href=\"https:\/\/feministtranslation.bham.ac.uk\/\">Feminist Translation Network<\/a>), and has also participated as a researcher or team member in six Spanish \u201cGeneraci\u00f3n de Conocimiento\u201d research projects. She has published books, articles and book chapters of international impact across three main themes: (1) feminist translation studies from a transnational and intersectional perspective; (2) translation policies in non-hegemonic cultures and multilingual contexts; and (3) publishing and translation in the Anglophone publishing market. Her work has been translated into Korean, Portuguese, Latvian and Italian. In 2017, she co-founded the Association of Programmes in Translation and Interpreting in the UK and Ireland (APTIS), of which she served as Vice-President until 2021. She was Secretary (2009\u20132012) and Vice-President (2012\u20132015) of the Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Estudos Galegos (AIEG), and since 2017 she has been a member of the Galicia-America Chair at the Universidad Nacional de San Mart\u00edn (Argentina), as well as a corresponding member of the Royal Galician Academy. He holds a PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature (2011) from the UAB. Before joining the UAB, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo, <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Brazil, and professor of African Literatures at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a visiting professor at the University of Salamanca, the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and the Federal Fluminense University, Brazil, among others. He has published the monographs <em>O campo liter\u00e1rio mo\u00e7ambicano. Tradu\u00e7\u00e3o do espa\u00e7o e formas de ins\u00edlio<\/em> (Kapulana, 2020) and <em>Discurso e poder nos romances de Jo\u00e3o Paulo Borges Coelho<\/em> (Alcance, 2014). She holds a PhD in Information Sciences (1995), a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Library Science and Documentation, and a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Contemporary History. Her main research areas include Documentation applied to Translation and Information Retrieval and Access.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For over three decades, she has been teaching various subjects at UG and MA\u2019s level in several faculties at UAB. She has held management positions in the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the UAB, including Vice-Dean of Studies, Coordinator of the Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Translation and Interpreting, and Coordinator of the Master\u2019s Degree in Tradum\u00e0tica, Translation Technologies. Since 1990, she has participated in twelve funded Research &amp; Development projects. She regularly publishes works on Documentation, Translation and Teaching innovation. He completed his PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies (2011) at the UAB, and has held academic positions at the Universitat de Barcelona and the University of Leeds, UK.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and visiting professor at the Sao Paulo State University, Brazil. He is a member of the Institute of Communication (UAB). His research focuses on the intersection of queer and feminist studies and media accessibility and translation. He has worked as an audiodescriber and subtitler, mainly in scenic arts, and as a curator for the Scenic Arts Museum in Barcelona. She is director of the Seminar &#8220;Intersectionality, Feminisms and Translation&#8221; (SIFT) at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, where she also serves as gender coordinator.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Her research interests focus on the didactics of the Italian language and Italian-Spanish translation, the acquisition of translation competence, audiovisual translation and its application in the language learning classroom, and teaching with a gender perspective. She has participated in several national and European projects on Translation Competences and in projects for mainstreaming gender in university teaching of Translation and Interpreting Studies. She was PI of the funded project <em>Translation and Reception of Contemporary Feminisms in Catalan Territory<\/em> (Fundaci\u00f3 Aut\u00f2noma Solid\u00e0ria, 2024\u20132025). She has been awarded the Jaume Vicens Vives distinction, M.
