Clio Angelini <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clio Angelini holds a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature and a postgraduate degree in Modern, Comparative and Postcolonial Literatures from the University of Bologna, Italy. She is currently a PhD candidate at the UAB (under the supervision of Nazir A. Can), where she investigates the factors that shape the<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

international circulation of Mozambican women\u2019s literary production from the perspective of intersectionality and Afrofeminist theories. Her research interests include postcolonial and intercultural studies, translation studies, the sociology of literature and gender studies. Prior to her academic career, she combined education and international development cooperation, carrying out fieldwork across Europe, the Middle East and Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cristina Canadell<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cristina Canadell Giralt holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting from the UAB and a Master’s degree in Medical and Healthcare Translation from the Universitat Jaume I. She is currently a PhD student at the UAB, under the supervision of Lupe Romero, focusing on the translation of medical research <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

articles from a gender perspective. She has taken part in different national and international conferences and has been part of the organising committee of the European Colloquium on Gender and Translation (2025). Before starting her scholarly career, she worked as an EFL teacher for over ten years and got an MA in TESOL at Aston University, UK. This has led her to join the Department of Language, Literature and Social Sciences Education at UAB as a substitute lecturer, where she trains future EFL professionals and supervises UG and PG dissertations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c1ngel Castell\u00f3 Mar\u00edn<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c1ngel Castell\u00f3 Mar\u00edn is an associate lecturer at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona, combining this job with being PhD student in Translation and Intercultural Studies at UAB, under the supervision of Lupe Romero. He is a former member of FORTI group and has taken part in the organisation committe of the European Colloquium on<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Gender and Translation (2025). His PhD project analyses and calls for the implementation of LGBTIA\/queer perspectives in translation courses. His main research interests are feminist theories in translation, gender and translation, queer theory and translation and didactics of translation. He has collaborated in the project \u201cTraducci\u00f3 i recepci\u00f3 dels feminismes contemporanis en el territori catal\u00e0\u201d (Translation and Reception of Contemporary Feminisms in the Catalan Territory, Fundaci\u00f3 Aut\u00f2noma Solid\u00e0ria, 2024-2025) organising roundtables around translation, feminisms, ethnic and racial diversity, as well as translation and queer feminisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danni He<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danni He holds a degree in Hispanic Philology and an MA in Spanish Language, Hispanic Literature and Spanish as a Foreign Language (UAB), as well as an MA in Translation and Intercultural Studies (UAB). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the same university, being co-supervised by Olga Castro and <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alba Saura. Her doctoral thesis examines representations of motherhood in works by women writers of the Latin American Post-Boom literary movement, drawing on feminist and psychoanalytic theories, and analysing which factors may influence different translation strategies of these motherhood narratives into Chinese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bel Olid<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bel Olid is the Coordinator of the Catalan Studies Program and an Assistant Instructional Professor at the Romance Languages and Literatures Department at the University of Chicago (US), where they are also Affiliated Faculty at the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality. At the UAB, they are a PhD candidate, co-supervised<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

by Gonzalo Iturregui-Gallardo. Their work focuses on creating more inclusive learning environments, and their research provides new perspectives on the use of non-binary language in Catalan and Spanish. They have been very active as a translator into Catalan and, to a lesser extent, into Spanish, mainly of feminist literature and children’s books from German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Among other authors, they have translated Judith Butler, Miranda July, Jeanette Winterson, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie or Rebecca Solnit.
