The NMR Biomedical Applications Group exists since 1985, with a recognized track related to nuclear magnetic resonance and its applications to biology, biochemistry and medicine. The group background is both at in vitro\/ex vivo level, with analyses of samples and extracts, and in vivo level, exploring the potential of magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy.<\/p>\n\n
At present, the group is led by Dr. Ana Paula Candiota<\/a>, who succeeded the former PI, Prof. Carles Ar\u00fas<\/a>. The group is now focused into noninvasive follow-up of cancer therapy in preclinical models, especially glioblastoma, through magnetic resonance approaches.
