Introduction

The Genomics, Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Biology Group (GBBE) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) investigates how genomes respond to environmental change, emerging pathogens and developmental constraints. Through the integration of population genomics, evolutionary developmental biology, long-read sequencing and computational modelling, we reveal the mechanisms that link genotype to phenotype and adaptation.

Our research addresses the challenges of knowledge and quality of life by advancing climate–health governance, biodiversity conservation, precision medicine, and open digital research infrastructures.
