On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, in the Sala de Grados of the Faculty of Humanities at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and within the framework of the Doctoral Program in Geography, the reading and defense of Victoria Cedro Barrionuevo’s thesis took place. The thesis, titled Citizen Participation in the Urban Development of Vila de Santa Luzia (Recife, Brazil): A Dialogue on Gender, Identity, and Politics, was co-supervised by Enric Mendizábal Riera and Maria Prats Ferret.
