Este premio se estableci\u00f3 en 1976 para reconocer a las personas que se han distinguido por su servicio a la IGU y por sus m\u00e9ritos en la investigaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica y lo han recibido personalidades como Peter Haggett, Janice Monk, Yi-FuTuan y Paul Claval:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/igu-online.org\/about-us\/roll-of-honour\/\">http:\/\/igu-online.org\/about-us\/roll-of-honour\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Maria Dolors Garcia Ramon ha obtenido el Premio Vautrin-Lud, conocido como el \u00ab\u00a0Premio Nobel\u00a0\u00bb de la Geograf\u00eda, en la edici\u00f3n de 2016.
