Throughout her research career, she has participated in various national and international projects as well as agreements with companies and public administrations in the field of waste valorisation and the assessment of associated environmental impacts. Thus, she has worked on processes such as composting, anaerobic digestion and solid\u2011state fermentation, the latter being her main current focus. For these processes, in some cases at laboratory scale and in others at industrial scale, she has studied the resulting gas emissions, which cause different environmental impacts both at the local level (odours) and at the global level (greenhouse gases).
