Her doctoral research focused on solid waste valorization, particularly solid\u2011state fermentation (SSF), to produce fungal biopesticides and biostimulants from green waste. Her thesis was the first within the GICOM research group to successfully obtain biostimulants through SSF, marking a pioneering contribution to the field. She also has expertise in analyzing respirometry indices to evaluate solid waste stability and compost maturity using advanced monitoring systems.<br><br>She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at GICOM, where her work centers on assessing organic solid waste for its valorization potential within circular bioeconomy frameworks and on designing and optimizing bioprocesses. She actively contributes to national and European research projects, including Soil&amp;Wine Residues, which promotes the eco\u2011efficient use of wine industry by\u2011products to improve vineyard soil quality, and ReWoW, which integrates machine learning techniques into SSF to develop a modular platform for digestate valorization and support the creation of bioeconomy\u2011based business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-1682-9310\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ORCID<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Golafarin Ghoreishi is a biotechnologist with a PhD in Environmental Science and Technology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2025).
