Investigadors del Grup GICOM han utilitzat catalitzadors basats en nanopart\u00edcules de coure immobilitzades en suports estables, com el quitosan o el biochar, per la conversi\u00f3 de di\u00f2xid de carboni a metanol. Aquesta innovaci\u00f3 obre les portes a un futur m\u00e9s sostenible i energ\u00e8ticament eficient.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el marc actual de les cont\u00ednues crisis energ\u00e8tiques mundials, que tenen la seva arrel en una disposici\u00f3 no uniforme de les fonts d\u2019energia basades en l\u2019\u00fas de combustibles f\u00f2ssils, les fonts d\u2019energia renovable han adquirit una import\u00e0ncia molt rellevant. Dins del conjunt d\u2019energies renovables, una de les que ha tingut un creixement exponencial en els darrers anys \u00e9s el biog\u00e0s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El biog\u00e0s s\u2019obt\u00e9 de residus org\u00e0nics a partir d\u2019un proc\u00e9s biol\u00f2gic i, en conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, est\u00e0 disponible localment arreu. Concretament, s\u2019aconsegueix\u00a0a partir de la digesti\u00f3 anaer\u00f2bia de residus, un proc\u00e9s de biodegradaci\u00f3 de residus org\u00e0nics que t\u00e9 lloc en grans reactors, on la mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica continguda es transforma en biog\u00e0s. El component majoritari d\u2019aquest gas \u00e9s el met\u00e0, que tamb\u00e9 es present en el gas natural, en aquest cas com un recurs no renovable. Per tant, la import\u00e0ncia del biog\u00e0s com a vector energ\u00e8tic i com a substitut del gas natural \u00e9s fonamental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tanmateix, el biog\u00e0s cont\u00e9, a banda de met\u00e0, di\u00f2xid de carboni i altres impureses. La neteja d\u2019aquestes impureses del biog\u00e0s ha estat \u00e0mpliament estudiada, per\u00f2 l\u2019eliminaci\u00f3 o conversi\u00f3 del di\u00f2xid de carboni (que es pot trobar en concentracions de fins al 50% en el biog\u00e0s) \u00e9s especialment important si aquest biog\u00e0s ha de ser majorit\u00e0riament biomet\u00e0, de forma que es pugui usar en les xarxes actuals de gas natural. En aquest sentit, la proposta del projecte\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uab.cat\/web\/detall-de-noticia\/esprement-el-proces-de-digestio-anaerobia-1345469002000.html?noticiaid=1345886666213\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Squeezer<\/a>\u00a0del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/gicom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grup GICOM<\/a>\u00a0busca transformar el di\u00f2xid de carboni en metanol, un l\u00edquid de f\u00e0cil manipulaci\u00f3 i una altra font d\u2019energia en al\u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el nostre article publicat, aquest proc\u00e9s de conversi\u00f3 del di\u00f2xid de carboni del biog\u00e0s en metanol l&#8217;hem portat a terme&nbsp;utilitzant hidrogen i nous catalitzadors basats en nanopart\u00edcules de coure immobilitzades en suports estables com el quitosan, que \u00e9s un polisac\u00e0rid que s&#8217;obt\u00e9 a partir de la quitina. Els resultats han estat molt prometedors, obtenint&nbsp;un catalitzador amb bons rendiments i selectivitat, aix\u00ed com una activitat continuada i amb altes possibilitats de reutilitzaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recentment, tamb\u00e9 hem estat&nbsp;provant catalitzadors on les nanopart\u00edcules s\u2019immobilitzen en biochar, un material amb alta porositat&nbsp;que s\u2019obt\u00e9 a partir de residus forestals.
