On the other\r\nhand, incorporating relativity in quantum technologies promises the\r\ndevelopment of a new generation of relativistic quantum applications of\r\nrelevance in Earth-based and space-based setups. In this talk, I will\r\nintroduce a framework for the application of quantum information and\r\nquantum metrology techniques to relativistic quantum fields. I will show\r\nhow, using this framework, we have been able to develop an accelerometer\r\nand a gravitational wave detector that exploit both quantum and\r\nrelativistic effects. I will discuss some of my future research plans in\r\nrelativistic quantum metrology including ideas to estimate with high\r\nprecision spacetime parameters such as the Earth's Schwarzchild radius,\r\ndevelop a new generation of gravimeters and study the effects of motion\r\nand gravity on quantum clocks.<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Quantum information and quantum metrology can be used to study gravitational effects such as gravitational waves and the universality of the equivalence principle.
