Specifically after &nbsp;reviewing some &nbsp;basic  facts on quantum systems, we will derive the fundamental structure of  quantum channels introducing the notion of Stinespring and Kraus  representation, and the Choi-Jamiolkowski isomorphism. A formal  derivation of master equation evolution will also be presented.
