On Friday 1 December 2023 we had the last team meeting of the year, with the participation of all the GLOBAL INTEL members. It was in a hybrid format (at the UAB and online) and discussions about the events and publications for 2024 took place.

Projects for 2024 that were discussed included:

  1. Organisation of a seminar on the topic of the recent-awarded Horizon Europe project EXPRESS2, coordinated by Dr Antoni Abat, by early 2024.
  2. Preparation of the project on gender, led by Dr Lidia Ballesta, consisting of a cicle of seminars on gender that will take place throughout the year 2024.
  3. Launch of a series of podcasts on topics related to our research group, that will be recorded and edited by Dr Sonia Guell, and disseminated in the GLOBAL INTEL website as well as the social networks.
  4. Co-organisation of the seminar “Second Workshop on Natural Language Processing for Political Sciences” within the international conference LREC-COLING 2024, which will take place in Torino in May 2024. Dr Cristina Blasi is part of the scientific committee of the event.
  5. List of conferences that members of the research group will participate in 2024.

After the fruitful discussion, it was agreed that next team meeting will take place on 11 January 2024.
