On 26 Febrero 2024 from 15:00 to 16:30 the Institute of European Studies, GLOBAL INTEL Research Group and EUPOL JM Chair coorganise with the Faculty of Law and the Faculy of Political Sciences of the UAB the conference “The political future of Russia: Regime Transformation and Change”.
The key questions that will be discussed during the event are:
- How the Russian political regime has evolved since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine? How various social groups are contributing and reacting to it?
- What are the prospects and potential forms of regime change in Russia? Will the upcoming presidential elections bring the change?
The speakers will be:
Dr Ekaterina Shulman is one of Russia’s foremost political scientists specialising in the decision-making mechanisms in hybrid political regimes and a leading Russian anti-war public intellectual whose contributions reach over one million people via her YouTube channel. She is an associate professor at KAZGUU University in Astana, Kazakhstan, and Robert Bosch Academy fellow.
Maksim Kurnikov is a well-known Russian journalist and media manager. He is a lead editor at BILD and a managing director at Radio Echo.
It will take place at the Aula Magna of the Law Faculty, and it does not require previous registration.
