On December 9, 2024, an important forum organized by AECID and OXFAM took place in Madrid, bringing together international experts, key institutions, and cooperation actors to address and reposition the agenda of inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). This event examined the deepening economic, social, and gender divides in the region and explore transformative pathways to reduce these disparities through international cooperation.
GLOBAL INTEL is proud to announce the participation of Anna Ayuso, a distinguished member of our team and renowned researcher on international cooperation and development. Anna Ayuso moderated the session titled “The International Agenda on Financing, Cooperation, and Inequalities in LAC”.
This session featured contributions from:
- Mónica Colomer (Ambassador for Financing for Development, MAEUC),
- Leire Pajín (Member of the European Parliament, DEVE Committee),
- Andrea Costafreda (Oxfam).
The session will also include insights from key figures in the audience, such as Iolanda Fresnillo (Eurodad) and Fernando Jiménez-Ontiveros (AECID).
Moderated by Anna Ayuso, the discussion focused on the critical need to reshape international financing policies to address structural inequalities in LAC and how cooperation can drive a more equitable and transformative agenda.
At GLOBAL INTEL, we celebrate Anna Ayuso’s participation in this important event, reaffirming our commitment to critical analysis and knowledge generation on global challenges, particularly in combating inequalities and promoting inclusive and fair policies.
