On 14 March 2025, the Faculty of Political Science at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) hosted the Annual Jean Monnet Lecture, delivered by Prof. Theresa Kuhn, a renowned scholar in the field of European studies. The event was jointly organised by GLOBAL INTEL, IEE, EUGOV and EUGLOB.

Under the title “European Identity and Institution-Building”, Prof. Kuhn offered a thought-provoking analysis of the complex relationship between citizens’ sense of European identity and the evolution of EU institutions. The lecture explored key questions on how identity shapes integration processes and how institutional developments, in turn, influence collective belonging in Europe.

The event took place from 12:00 to 13:30 in the Sala de Actos, Facultad de Ciencias Políticas, and was attended by students, academics, and members of the wider university community. The lecture sparked engaging discussion on one of the most pressing issues in current EU affairs.

This annual event is part of the Jean Monnet activities at the UAB, promoting dialogue and critical reflection on European integration.
