Dr Cristina Blasi Casagran
Dr Cristina Blasi Casagran is the coordinator of the GLOBAL INTEL research group. Dr Blasi is an Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is a researcher and lecturer on EU law, digital law & data protection, and EU migration law. Besides this research group, she is currently coordinating an H2020 project named “IT tools and methods to manage migration flows” (ITFLOWS).
Dr Antoni Abat Ninet
Dr Antoni Abat i Ninet is Maria Zambrano Researcher at the IEE (UAB) and visiting professor at the Faculty of Law of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel).
Antoni’s research interests are constitutional law, philosophy and EU Law. He has taught several courses on the History of Philosophy, History of Political Systems and Political Philosophy at the UB and the EGLS. More information is detailed at abatininet.eu
Dr Susana Beltran Garcia
Dr Susana Beltrán is Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is a researcher and lecturer in EU law and international public law. She served as a member of the Parliament of Catalonia for five years (2015-2021), primarily focusing on international issues, transparency, and institutional relations. Currently, she also is Vice Dean for Dual Degree, International Projection, and Communication at the Faculty of Law (UAB).
Dr Lidia Ballesta Martí
Dr Lidia Ballesta Martí is an Associate Lecturer at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is a researcher and lecturer of EU Law, digital law and EU gender and non-discrimination law. Lidia holds a PhD in International Law and a Master in European Integration from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). Her research currently focuses on EU Law, Gender and LGBT+ non-discrimination. She worked as a lawyer and legal consultant in Barcelona (2010-2023).
Dr Anna Ayuso
Dr Anna Ayuso holds a PhD in International Law and a Master’s in European Studies from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). Senior Researcher Fellow on Latin America issues in CIDOB since 2002 and former coordinator of the International Cooperation Area (1995-2001). Professor of International Law at the UAB; Visiting teacher at Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI); Member of Editorial Board of Revista CIDOB d ‘Afers Internacionals; member of the Advisory Board of the International Journal Mural of the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro; the Comillas Journal of International Relations; and America Latina Hoy of The Instituto Iberoamericano in the Universidad de Salamanca. Member of the Directive of the Spanish Network for Development Studies (REEDES) 2020-2023.
Dr Montserrat Pi Llorens
Dr Montserrat Pi Llorens is an Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is a researcher and lecturer on EU law and human rights. She is a lecturer in various master’s and postgraduate courses, among others the Master’s Degree in European Integration, in which she coordinates two modules. Her research currently focuses on the area of Freedom, Security and Justice in the EU.
Dr Sònia Güell Peris
Dr. Sonia Güell es lecturer Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is a researcher in Humanitarian Law and International protection of Humans Rights. She also has been professor of Law of European Union at Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona and of Public International Law at the CEI International affairs of Barcelona. Beyond her academic tasks, since 2011 she has been envolved in building different sports programs, especially regarding rowing sport; and currently is in charge of the project for the next Union of Sportive Federations of Catalonia Institute .
Dr Claudia Jiménez Cortés
Dr Claudia Jiménez Cortés is an Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is a researcher and lecturer on International Public Law, specialising in human rights and international criminal law. She is a lecturer in various masters and postgraduate courses, such as a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Institutions and a Master’s Degree in Sustainability. Environment, Society and Economy at CEI International Affairs (Barcelona Diplomatic School), as well as International Legal System at IBEI. Her research currently focuses on the area of International Criminal Law and Transitional Justice.
Sofia Fiorini
Sofia Fiorini is intern at GLOBAL INTEL. Master’s student in Global Studies with a focus on Nationalism and Conflict Management at the Universidad de Salamanca. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Siena in 2023. Her main areas of interests are Middle Eastern studies and research on migration flows.
