{"id":1118,"date":"2013-05-14T17:12:46","date_gmt":"2013-05-14T15:12:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/programmes\/"},"modified":"2023-12-29T13:16:29","modified_gmt":"2023-12-29T11:16:29","slug":"programmes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/en\/programmes\/","title":{"rendered":"Peer tutoring programmes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-genially wp-block-embed-genially\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"PROGRAMES GRAI\" frameborder='0' width='1200' height='675' src='https:\/\/view.genially.com\/628b66cdb997e300120d8a88#?secret=VYkqpHW1z4' data-secret='VYkqpHW1z4' scrolling='yes'><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>GRAI (Research Group on Peer Learning) promotes different programmes for&nbsp;improving some core competencies, through peer tutoring with family&nbsp;involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding language skills, the following programmes are promoted with the aim&nbsp;of improving reading comprehension and written expression:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/llegim-en-parella-0\"><em>Llegim en parella<\/em><\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;, in Catalan language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/es\/leemos-y-escribimos-en-pareja\"><em>Leemos y escribimos en pareja<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, in Spanish language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/bikoteka-irakurtzen\"><em>Bikoteka Irakurtzen<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, in Basque language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/en\/reading-in-pairs\/\">Reading in pairs<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, in English as a second language<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the mathematical skills, the following programmes are promoted with the aim of&nbsp;improving the cooperative resolution of daily problems;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/enraonem-en-parella\">(En)Raonem en parella<\/a><\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/grai\/es\/razonar-en-pareja\">Razonar en pareja<\/a><\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The programmes rely on helping teachers and schools to introduce instructional&nbsp;strategies for inclusive education, recognising not only those students who&nbsp;are different but also taking pedagogical advantage of their different levels of&nbsp;knowledge in order to show how to learn from differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these conceptual bases, the programmes have the commitment of the&nbsp;students (responsibility of tutor and tutee roles), the commitment of teachers&nbsp;and schools (teachers\u2019 network: XAI \u2013 Xarxa d\u2019Aprenentatge entre Iguals) and&nbsp;the commitment of families (performing as reading tutors for their children at&nbsp;home).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the programme Llegim en parella started in 2006 to the current&nbsp;moment, we have worked with more than 400 schools in&nbsp;different geographical areas: Catalonia, the Basque Country, Navarra, Balearic&nbsp;Islands and Aragon.
