PRENORM<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The antiprejudice norm in times of growing immigration (PRENORM)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The antiprejudice norm is believed to be currently at risk of erosion as a result of the rise of far-right political actors in Europe and beyond. This phenomenon poses significant challenges for democratic quality, tolerance and inclusion in ethnically diverse societies. Consequently, understanding what sustains the antiprejudice norm within the majority of native-born citizens in times of growing immigration and rise of the far-right has become an urgent endeavour to counter risks of democratic erosion. Accordingly, PRENORM explores factors that sustain the antiprejudice norm and its consequences. What determines people\u2019s commitment to this norm? How socially prevalent do people think the norm is? What role do these factors play in how political speech might promote tolerance? Empirically, the project will draw on a large public opinion survey in Spain. The project is funded by La Caixa Foundation through a 2025 Flash Call to support research based on quantitative surveys (F25-1B), and runs from September 2025 to September 2026 (LCF\/PR\/FS25\/60040051).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

TANDEM<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TANDEM \u2013 In tandem or alone? An analysis of the joint vs. solo use of paternity leave entitlements and its impact on gender equality in Spain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funded in 2025 by the Spanish State Research Agency (Agencia Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n)<\/em>. TANDEM investigates whether fathers\u2019 use of paternity leave on their own\u2014rather than simultaneously with mothers\u2014promotes a more equal division of care and reduces gender inequalities in the labor market in Spain. The project combines original longitudinal survey data on recent parents with large-scale survey experiments to track leave use, care practices, employment trajectories, workplace conditions, and gender norms over time. By generating robust, policy-relevant evidence on a largely unexplored form of caregiving, TANDEM addresses key gaps in existing research and informs the design of parental leave policies that foster gender equality and work\u2013family balance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The dynamics of gender polarization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GPOL investigates the dynamics of gender-related polarization in Spain, conceptualized in three dimensions: the growing gaps in attitudes and behaviors between men and women, tensions around gender issues (including questions related to representation, recognition, redistribution, and sexual and reproductive rights), and ambivalence in attitudes towards feminism. These dimensions serve to examine the processes driving polarization, its evolution over time, and its implications for voting and political support. The project is financed by the Spanish Research Agency and runs from September 2025 to August 2028. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

TACT-FORSED is a project recently selected for funding by the European Comission’s Horizon Europe program under the Call DEMOCRACY-01-04. The project, starting in January 2025 and finishing in January 2028, aims to investigate conspiracy theorists as a distinct group with low resilience to disinformation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

POLGENDA analyzes the impact of equalized parental leave and the implementation of mandatory company equality plans on gender discrimination in the labor market in Spain.
