Graduate in Medicine and Surgery in 1996, I am Forensic Doctor since 1999 (Cuerpo de Médicos Forenses, Ministerio de Justicia). In 2008, I obtained a PhD in Biological Anthropology by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), with the thesis “Morphofunctional study of human radius: morphogenesis, biomechanics and evolution”, advisor Dr. Assumpció Malgosa and Dr. Joan Manyosa. At present, I am working at the Institut de Medicina Legal de Catalunya (IMLC), and I am associate professor in forensic and legal medicine at the UAB. My field of specialization is forensic anthropology. Nowadays, I lead a research line mainly dedicated to the field of forensic pathology, taphonomy, biomechanics and evolutionary anatomy of primate upper limbs.
