I am a Physical Anthropology professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I lead the GROB (Osteobiography Research Group) of this university, whose objective is the interpretation and biological reconstruction of people and populations from their remains. As for the chronological scope, the type of analysis we conduct spans both from prehistoric times, specifically the Neolithic, but especially Bronze and Iron, to the present day. Regarding current remains, we deal with Forensic Anthropology studies, with special emphasis on the remains of the Spanish Civil War.
Main areas of research
- Human variability
- Morphological, histological, biochemical and molecular diversity.
