Doctor in Biological Sciences (1989), Master in Human Biology (1989) and Diploma in History (1993), I am currently a professor at the Biological Anthropology Unit at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
My research goes from the prospecting of sites with human remains to the excavation and subsequent study of the materials. For this purpose I use various techniques, from morphological methodologies to biochemical tests such as stable isotope analysis and DNA studies. The chronology I work on is wide, from the Middle Pleistocene to modern times.
Since 2020 I have been responsible of the Anthropology laboratory of human bone remains from the Civil War and the Franco dictatorship within the grave plan of the Department of Justice of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
