Els seus principals camps de recerca s\u00f3n els estudis del feixisme, la hist\u00f2ria social i cultural de la guerra, els estudis de la viol\u00e8ncia i els escenaris de reconstrucci\u00f3 comunit\u00e0ria en els entorns de de postguerra. La seva atenci\u00f3 s\u2019ha centrat de forma molt particular en l\u2019estudi comparat, transnacional i global de les guerres civils, l\u2019experi\u00e8ncia de guerra dels combatents, l\u2019Espanya dels anys 1936 a 1952 i el col\u00b7laboracionisme a l\u2019Europa de la Segona Guerra Mundial. Sobre aquestes q\u00fcestions ha impartit nombroses confer\u00e8ncies i seminaris, al mateix temps que ha publicat nombrosos articles i diverses monografies, entre les quals <em>La batalla de Teruel: guerra total en Espa\u00f1a <\/em>(2018), <em>Comunidades rotas: una historia global de las guerras civiles, 1917-2017<\/em> (2019), en coautoria amb Javier Rodrigo, i <em>Colaboracionistas: Europa occidental y el Nuevo Orden nazi<\/em> (2022), els dos \u00faltims pr\u00f2ximament en angl\u00e8s.
