The research carried out by GREGAL<\/strong> is focused on the study of the circulation of audiovisual productions<\/strong>, the uses of popular culture<\/strong> for strategic purposes<\/strong> and practices for the appropriation<\/strong> of aesthetic influences<\/strong> found in Japanese societies and Korean creative engines.<\/p>\n For almost a decade, the work of the members of the GREGAL<\/strong> research group has been focused on the intercultural and socio-political dynamics of East Asia, highlighting the accelerated<\/strong> increase in cultural consumption<\/strong> practices associated with severalexpressions of Japanese and Korean contemporary popular culture<\/strong> (audiovisual and literary productions, graphic publications and electronic entertainment, gastronomy, language), as well as its effects<\/strong> on specific sectors within economics, politics and culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Necessarily considering the intrinsic dynamism that informs these processes from their origin to their reception, the group has established the following strategic objectives:<\/p>\n \u2022 To consolidate an intensive analysis of the global circulation of products and practices<\/strong> associated with Japanese and Korean popular cultures, as well as their social impact<\/strong> in Catalonia.<\/p>\n \u2022 To increase the study of cultural diplomacy strategies at official institutions<\/strong> in Korea, Japan and Catalonia, with special emphasis on their social, political and economic implications.<\/p>\n \u2022 To promote the analysis of human flows<\/strong> between Catalonia, Korea and Japan, and the broad study of the formative variables involved in the teaching and learning <\/strong>of Japanese and Korean languages<\/strong> in our educational environment.<\/p>\n \u2022 To strengthen the channels and activities of knowledge-transfer<\/strong> and scientific outcomes<\/strong> obtained in the development of the group’s lines of research.<\/p>\n \u2022 To increase the group’s international dimension<\/strong> by establishing scientific collaborations<\/strong> with other similar groups in the European<\/strong> environment.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
