Morning:\u00a0<\/strong>online PhD students panels sessions coordinated from the conference main venue at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (UAB Campus Bellaterra). The panelists presented their papers online from different parts of the world.<\/p>\n

Faculty of Translation and Interpreting<\/u><\/strong> (UAB Campus Bellaterra)<\/p>\n

The Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB, Autonomous University of Barcelona) is a public university located in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. Founded in 1968, it has more than 30,000 students, 3,000 teachers and offers over 600 different courses, spanning undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs. The UAB in\u00a0figures\u00a0<\/a>&\u00a0rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting<\/a>\u00a0(map<\/a>) is located at that UAB Campus Bellaterra is sited in the town of Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vall\u00e9s, Barcelona) at 20 kilometres\u00a0from Barcelona city center.<\/p>\n

The best way to go to the UAB Campus Bellaterra is by train (FGC, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya):\u00a0<\/strong>from the main station at “Pla\u00e7a Catalunya” to the \u201cUniversitat Aut\u00f2noma\u201d station.<\/p>\n

We will organize groups to go together from “Pla\u00e7a Catalunya” station to the conference venue on the Bellaterra campus, and will also send you detailed information about how to get there if the times we offer do not suit you. You can see the train timetable for the morning trains\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cost of the train ticket is 2.40 Euros (one way) and the best option is to buy a ticket known as the T-casual, which is a single-person time-limited ticket for 10 journeys on any means of transport within the integrated system and within Zone 1, which covers the whole of the city of Barcelona and the metropolitan area up to the Bellaterra campus of the UAB. A T-casual for Zone 1 costs\u00a011.35\u00a0\u20ac\u00a0and you can also use it on the Barcelona metro and bus network.<\/p>\n

Casa Convalescencia<\/u><\/strong> (Barcelona)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Casa Convalescencia<\/a> is a Historical Artistic Monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site near the temple of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and sited within the iconic Hospital de Santa Creu i Sant Pau complex that was built in the late 19th century to provide better medical care in Barcelona. The architect Pere Dom\u00e8nech i Roura designed this architectural gem in distinctive Modernist style using natural stone columns and capitals, ceramic tile murals illustrating the history of the building and vaulted brick ceilings, together with many other elements. Since the late sixties, the Casa Convalesc\u00e8ncia has been a part of the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB) in the city of Barcelona.<\/p>\n

The best way to go to Casa Convalescencia is by metro or bus:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– From the metro station at “Urquinaona” to\u00a0\u201cGuinard\u00f3 | Hospital de Sant Pau\u201d station (Line 4, yellow line) (example<\/a>)<\/p>\n

– From the metro station at “Pla\u00e7a Catalunya” (Line 3, green line) to \u201cDiagonal\u201d station, transfer to Line 5 (blue line) and go to\u00a0\u201cSant Pau | Dos de Maig\u201d station (example<\/a>)<\/p>\n

– From the D50 bus stop at \u201cPla\u00e7a Catalunya – Rda. Sant Pere\u201d until\u00a0\u201cInd\u00fastria \u2013 Independ\u00e8ncia\u201d stop (example<\/a>)<\/p>\n
