An academic event focused on promoting multilingual education was held in Ceuta, bringing together specialists and institutional representatives from various countries. The day began with an official opening, followed by a presentation by Dr. Ofelia Garc\u00eda, whose content sparked considerable interest among the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next, the LEyLA Framework, a key proposal for developing inclusive and multilingual educational approaches in early childhood education, was presented by Dr. Fernando Trujillo S\u00e1ez and Dr. Beatriz Cortina P\u00e9rez, both from the University of Granada. The core of the meeting was a round table discussion entitled \u201cRethinking Multilingual Education,\u201d organized in a colloquium format to foster dialogue. The colloquium participants were Dr. Ricardo Otheguy, Dr. Francisco Lorenzo, Dr. Melinda Dooly, and Dr. Ofelia Garc\u00eda. In it, the participants discussed the conceptual, pedagogical and institutional challenges facing multilingual education, as well as the necessary changes in teacher training and school practice to respond to these challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
