PUBLICATION OF A BOOK CHAPTER ON EVALUATION IN PSYCHOMOTOR EDUCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several members of the Psychomotor Education Research Group (GREP-2021-SGR-0747) would like to share chapter 6, entitled \u201cPsychomotor Education in Early Childhood Education: Formative Evaluation of the Child, the Session and the Teaching Staff\u201d, written by: Lurdes Mart\u00ednez-M\u00ednguez, Carolina Nieva, Paco Cort\u00e9s, Francesc Porta and M\u00aa Carmen Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This chapter is included in the book \u201cEvaluaci\u00f3n Formativa y Compartida en Educaci\u00f3n F\u00edsica. Fundamentos y Experiencias Pr\u00e1cticas en todas las etapas educativas\u201d, and covers pages 127-151. The process of formative evaluation in the field of psychomotricity and physical education with children aged 0 to 8 is presented, offering tools and criteria to assess the development of children, the quality of the sessions and the teaching task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also encourage you to explore the rest of the book’s chapters, which provide valuable content on formative and shared assessment at different educational levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POST-DOCTORAL INTERNSHIP OF PROFESSOR JOSEFINA LARRA\u00cdN AT UAB<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Professor Dr. Josefina Larra\u00edn, from the Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile), has completed a two-month postdoctoral stay (January and February 2026) at the Department of Didactics of Musical, Plastic and Corporal Expression. During this period, she has developed several activities together with the Psychomotor Education Research Group (GREP \u2013 2021-SGR-0747).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This stay has allowed her to coordinate with different educational centers, where she has carried out systematic observations of psychomotor sessions with the support of professionals from each school context. She has also given a training seminar aimed at doctoral students and faculty of the Doctorate in Education Program, with the title: \u201cConstruction of research problems in childhood: scientific paths, methodological decisions and the development of the Psychomotor Expression Observation Test\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assessment of this postdoctoral stay has been very positive, as it has contributed to promoting and strengthening international cooperation between the UAB and the Universidad del Desarrollo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PUBLICATION OF A BOOK ON EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN THE INITIAL TRAINING OF EARLY CHILDHOOD AND PRIMARY EDUCATION TEACHERS IN THE AREAS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the 2024-2025 academic year we have participated in the innovation project \u201cFrom the classrooms of UVEG and other Spanish universities, to the classrooms of Early Childhood Education: best teaching practices to strengthen the training of university students\u201d, coordinated by the University of Valencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this project, teachers from different universities in Spain have shared their educational experiences within the Early Childhood and Primary Degree, specifically within the subjects related to psychomotricity, physical education and body expression. Researchers from the Psychomotricity Education Research Group (GREP) have produced chapters 3 and 5 of this book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professors Lurdes Mart\u00ednez and Carol Nieva carried out a training, research and advisory stay at the School of Human Movement Sciences and Quality of Life (CIEMHCAVI) of the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), between September 18 and 26, 2025.
During this stay, they carried out knowledge transfer activities aimed at the teaching staff of the CIEMHCAVI Department, as well as the teachers of the School of Psychology and Preschool Education. They also offered training to students of the Baccalaureate in Human Movement at UNA, contributing to the academic and professional enrichment of all participants.
In addition, coordination has been established with members of the Psychomotor and Active Lifestyles Program (PSICOMI), which has allowed strengthening the lines of research shared with the Psychomotor Education Research Group (2021-SGR-0747) of the UAB. This collaboration has been a very enriching experience for all parties involved, as several ways have been consolidated to continue advancing together in the areas of training, knowledge transfer and research between UNA and UAB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
