The campus provides the group with a very interdisciplinary environment which enables the exchange of ideas and know-how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Group of Sensors and Biosensors (GSB) is a multidisciplinary team integrated by researchers coming from different scientific fields, the main objective of which is the design and implementation of new sensing schemes and strategies directed to simplify the chemical and biochemical analysis. The accumulated interdisciplinary know-how and the technological facilities available in both the group and the UAB sphere&nbsp; allows the group to move easily from the conceptual design to the fabrication of integrated (bio)analytical instrumentation for selected aplications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Grup de Sensors i Biosensors (GSB) \u00e9s un equip multidisciplinari integrat per investigadors provinents de diferents \u00e0mbits cient\u00edfics. El seu principal objectiu \u00e9s el disseny i la implementaci\u00f3 de nous esquemes i estrat\u00e8gies de sensat, dirigides a simplificar l\u2019an\u00e0lisi qu\u00edmic i bioqu\u00edmic. Els coneixement interdisciplinari acumulat fins l\u2019actualitat i les instal\u00b7lacions tecnologiques que te a l\u2019abast tant del grup com de la Esfera UAB li permeten, partint del disseny conceptual, arribar f\u00e0cilment a la fabricaci\u00f3 de instrumentaci\u00f3 (bio)anal\u00edtica integrada per aplicacions seleccionades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What do we do at the Group of Sensors and Biosensors\u2026?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>New Transducer Systems for Chemical and Biological Recognition<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Development of optical, amperometric and potentiometric transducers as well as ISFETs. Development of new chemical and biological recognition systems and their integration in new transducer materials. Synthesis of &nbsp;ionophores, cromoionophores and nanostructured materials. Oriented Inmobilization of chemical and biological active reagents. Development and integration of technologies as biocomposites, screen-printing, continuous flow techniques, microparticle injection, microelectronics, nanotechnologies, integrated optics and computer science in order to construct improved chemical sensors, biosensors, immunosensors and genosensors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Sensor &amp; Biosensor Characterization and (Bio)Analytical Applications<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Characterization of integrated analytical systems: potentiometric sensors, amperometric sensors, ISFET, optical sensors, biosensors, immunosensors and genosensors. Application in biomedical, space, food-safety , environmental and industrial fields. Design and fabrication of automated analyzers, bioinstrumentation and biomimetics.&nbsp;Development of integrated chemical sensors and biosensors for analytical microsystems. Design and fabrication of diagnosis kits<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Transference of Technology<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Transfer of analytical technology to environmental, space, food-safety, biomedical and industrial companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bantschool.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">BANT School<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"206\" height=\"69\" src=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/gsb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/414\/2023\/04\/bant.png.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The BioAnalytical Nanotechnology School is an instrument of international cooperation devised and created by the Group of Sensors and Biosensors of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
