The Centre Grup de T\u00e8cniques de Separaci\u00f3 en Qu\u00edmica, GTS<\/strong>, is a Consolidated Quality Research Group since 1993. The GTS Centre has been active for the last 30 years in basic and applied aspects of separation science and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GTS Center’s research focuses on the design<\/strong> and development<\/strong> of new separation techniques as well as the improvement of existing ones, applying them to a wide variety of situations including: environmental research, biomedical and agri-food applications and analytical processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity of GTS includes the development of projects, consultancy, advice <\/strong>and customer service in specific topics<\/strong>. The economic support for the development of these activities is provided by national and European research programs as well as agreements with public and private organizations <\/strong>and companies<\/strong>. To emphasize the international collaboration of the GTS Center with research groups from Europe, USA <\/strong>and China <\/strong>for specific R&D&I<\/strong> and academic <\/strong>purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GTS Center follows the guidelines of the International Quality Standard ISO 9001:2015. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The UAB is the university with the largest number of coordinated projects in the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges 2024 call, with five projects in total. The call is aimed at promoting international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation through the exchange of staff. The GTS Center is a regular collaborator of the ALBA Synchrotron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ALBA Synchrotron is a third generation scientific infrastructure<\/strong> located in Cerdanyola del Vall\u00e8s (Barcelona) and is the most important in the Mediterranean area.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a complex of electron accelerators <\/strong>to produce synchrotron light, which allows to visualize the atomic and molecular structure of materials and to study their properties.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
