This recognition particularly considers the impact of the scientific publications associated with the doctoral research.<\/p>\n\n<p>In this edition, the jury decided to grant the award to the thesis entitled:<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>Modeling and management of energy consumption in a fault-tolerant high-performance computing system<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>by Dr. Marina Mor\u00e1n.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The thesis was supervised by <strong>Dr. Dolores Rexachs, Dr. Javier Balladini, and Dr. Enzo Rucci,<\/strong> and focuses on the study and development of models and strategies to optimize energy consumption in High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, incorporating fault-tolerance mechanisms. This type of research is particularly relevant in the current context, where energy efficiency and system reliability are key factors in the design and operation of modern supercomputing infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n<p>We would like to congratulate Dr. Marina Mor\u00e1n and her supervisors on this important recognition, which highlights the scientific quality of the work and its impact in 2026)<\/p>\n<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>\n<p>Researcher Eduardo Cabrera, member of the HPC4EAS group, participated in the XVI edition of the CAPAP-H Winter Seminar, held on February 11\u201313, 2026, at the Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez de Elche, at the Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica Superior de Elche.<\/p>\n\n<p>The CAPAP-H Winter Seminar is an annual key meeting point for the scientific community in High-Performance Architecture and Programming, fostering the exchange of experiences, research results, and future strategic research directions.<\/p>\n\n<p>During the session on Wednesday, February 11 (16:30-20:00), dedicated to research group presentations, Eduardo Cabrera introduced the HPC4EAS group, presenting its main research lines.<\/p>\n\n<p>Participation in this seminar has strengthened the visibility of the group, fostered synergies with other national research teams, and opened opportunities for potential collaborations in the field of High-Performance Computing.<\/p>\n\n<p>HPC4EAS FPU 2025 Call Deadline<\/p>\n<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>\n<p>The deadline for the 2025 University Teacher Training (FPU) grants call has been extended, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation (PEICTI) 2024\u20132027.<\/p>\n\n<p>The new deadline for submitting applications is 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (Spanish peninsular time).<\/p>\n\n<p>Likewise, for candidates whose host institution is the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona, the internal deadline for submitting the Declaration of compliance with the requirements of the PhD thesis supervisor
