The aim is to create a tool for examining and understanding the functioning of socioeconomic inequalities that can be used for international comparative analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our approach to creating this complex measure involves reconceptualising the dimensions of inequality through a comparative analysis perspective. This requires the construction of integrative concepts of socio-economic inequality that can be applied universally, regardless of a country&#8217;s level of development or its specific circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our proposal for a new conceptualisation of socio-economic inequalities and the development of the DYSIC inequality measures will be guided by the AMOSIT model: Analytical Model of Socioeconomic Inequalities and Trajectories developed in the INCASI1 project, which integrates the 6 lines of research of the INCASI2 project: labour, education, stratification, gender, migration and public policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed DYSIC index is constructed from three main initial dimensions: education, occupation and income as an expression of a causal mechanism [education \u2192 occupation \u2192 income] from which the gender dimension and the dynamic dimension are introduced to generate three different indices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"759\" height=\"257\" src=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/incasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/500\/2023\/12\/indice.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2551\" srcset=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/incasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/500\/2023\/12\/indice.png 759w, https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/incasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/500\/2023\/12\/indice-300x102.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 759px) 100vw, 759px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The INCASI2 project proposes to construct an innovative multidimensional measure of social inequality that we call DYSIC: Dynamics of Socioeconomic Inequality in Comparison.
