He has taught in several Andalusian universities and, currently, he is a professor of Sociology at Seville University. He has also worked as a senior technician in applied non-academic social studies, both quantitative and qualitative, in various private consultancies and public research institutes, among them, the Institute of Advanced Social Studies (IESA) of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC).
